Helping You Access the Care, Support, and Savings You Deserve
At Sea Change Cannabis, we’re proud to be a medically endorsed cannabis retailer serving Jefferson County with care, compassion, and expert guidance. Since July 1, 2016, all medical cannabis dispensaries in Washington must be licensed and endorsed by the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board—and we’re honored to be part of that trusted network.
Whether you’re seeking natural relief or exploring cannabis as part of your wellness journey, our Certified Medical Marijuana Consultants are here for you seven days a week to help you register, access benefits, and select the right products for your needs.
Why Become a Medical Cannabis Patient?
Washington’s medical cannabis program offers powerful advantages that go far beyond recreational access:
Sales Tax Exemption: Save 9.2% on all cannabis purchases
Excise Tax Exemption on DOH-compliant products (an additional 37% savings!)
Higher Possession Limits for cannabis flower, concentrates, and edibles
Home Cultivation Rights: Grow up to 6 plants (or up to 15 with practitioner approval)
That’s a total potential savings of 46% on DOH-compliant products, plus an added peace of mind and freedom of choice in your care.
What Are DOH-Compliant Products?
DOH-compliant (Department of Health-compliant) cannabis products are held to Washington’s highest medical standards. These products undergo additional, voluntary testing for:
Pesticides
Heavy metals
Mold, bacteria, and mycotoxins
Potency consistency
How to Join the Medical Cannabis Program
Becoming a registered patient is easier than you might think—and we’re here to help every step of the way.
1. Get an Authorization Form
Speak with your licensed Washington healthcare provider or use a telehealth service like Veriheal to obtain a medical cannabis authorization. Make sure it’s written on the standard Washington State Department of Health form dated on or after July 24, 2015.
2. Visit Sea Change Cannabis
Bring your authorization form to Sea Change, where our Certified Medical Marijuana Consultants will:
Enter your information into the state database
Take your photo
Print your official Medical Marijuana Recognition Card on the spot
Guide you through product options, usage, and safe storage
The State of Washington charges a $1 fee for medical cards.
3. Start Saving and Growing
Once you’re registered, you’ll immediately gain access to medical-only discounts, higher possession limits, and home cultivation privileges.
What If I Don’t Join the Database?
Participation in the state’s medical cannabis authorization database is optional—but joining unlocks the full range of benefits.
