It’s time for the weekly weed report!

We are experiencing sea change at Sea Change.  After being here from the start, our beloved Anna is moving back to where she belongs in Bellingham.  She will be more able to pursue her musical endeavors and reconnect with friends and loved ones.  We will miss her terribly!  The task of replacing her really had me down for a couple days.  But then like a miracle, just as Anna needed to transition out, we’ve been blessed by the Green Goddess and revel in the return of former Sea Change budtenders Jordan and Ryan!  Our little Sea Change family is tight, feel the love!  Anna’s final shift will be the 29th, so say your goodbyes within the next 20 days.

An entire week of widely varying events happening next door at the Disco Bay Detour! Open daily at 7am for COFFEE & NEWS.  Tonight sultry Australian singer/bass player Anni Piperwill be playing 5-8pm.  Thursday is the weekly Acoustic Open Jam, bring your instruments and songs. Friday night 8/11 it’s beloved local fella Brother Townsend and Meredith Hobrla.  Saturday 8/12 brings 2 kings of bluebilly swing Jack & Joe (Reid & Breskin) from 7-10pm.  If Sunday afternoon original alt/country is more your speed be here 4-6pm 8/13 for Raygun Carver.  Monday night 6pm it’s Dinner & a Movie, weekly potluck and screening of classic films or features from Pacific Northwest filmmakers. This week it’s SHADOWED (2012) by Joey Johnson. Tuesday it’s another meeting of the Klallam Language informal study group, potluck gathering and casual learning of a local language.  Check the Disco Bay Detour events on Facebook to stay up to date.

Now open!  Disco Bay Outdoor Exchange – Rental and secondhand outdoor equipment from kayaks and surfboards to bikes, backpacks, outdoor gear and apparel!  They’re located in the end of the main building, between Sea Change and the Discovery Bay Village Store.
