Weed: All About It for 7/19/17 It’s time for the weekly weed report! Our 3rd anniversary is July 25! Think of it: 3 years ago the supply was so short we were only open a few hours on Fridays, the line would go all the way to the Discovery Bay Village Store, and those scheduled to work in the store on Saturday were out of luck! After the growers had more time the supply became abundant and we’ve been open practically non-stop ever since! Being the first store on the peninsula and 5th in the state gives us the luxury of having choices in so many growers and products since day 1. We’ve kept only the best ones we have found and continue searching for high quality, great value products to add to our unique offerings. Thank you for supporting us, we love what we do and serving the community is a joy. We will have some specials on our birthday… In neighborhood news… The wi-fi is finally here at the Detour! Bring your laptop and get something done in the morning, now that COFFEE & NEWS is served daily at 7am in the Disco Bay Detour. Live music this weekend at the Detour, it has been a solid block of action since last week. Tonight come see Tallahassee blues man Randall “Big Daddy” Webster at 5-8pm. Thursday is the weekly Acoustic Open Jam, bring your instruments and songs. Friday night 7/19 it’s Sam Weber Duo opening for and playing with Sneaky Bones. Saturday 7/22 brings Lost in the Shuffle, locals Ralph Baker and Gerry Sherman play blues, ballads and originals. Sunday morning 7/23 take it easy with Ryan Doty, his solo style influenced by pickers like Tony Rice, bands like Old Crow Medicine Show, and singers like Ray Charles.
