It’s time for the weed report!

Don’t miss the Craft Elixirs Pioneer Squares, they’re here right now!  We’ve got Pink Lemonade, Sour Cherry, Black and Blueberry and Watermelon Kiwi.  And they’ve got a new 30:1 option, with 10mg CBD and .36mg THC (yes, *point* three six, oh so very low) in the Black and Blueberry flavor.

Something else worth mentioning is this Super Lemon Smac #4 from Dream City.  They’ve been coming through with the flavors lately.  The Black Nitro is special, Fruit Punch is in the Orange Poison/Tropicanna Cookies wheelhouse, and the Jack is so very limey.  I opened this Smac and it was truly a “holy $%!*” moment, I was not expecting such a pungent citrus scent.  They brought the new Nilla Wafer and Granddaddy Purple lineage DC Purps.  We might be a little low on their popcorn so take the opportunity to support your local weed grower and try some of the A grade bud.  Then you will know what to snap up when you see it in popcorn form!

A Collaboration between Disco Bay Outdoor Exchange and Disco Bay Detour

Join Detour bartender, former wilderness ranger and current mountain guide Erin Reading for an evening focused on wilderness/outdoor adventure. The intention is to share collective knowledge with one another, build webs of connection among various outdoor communities, and to have fun delighting in one another’s adventure planning, stories, and questions. Everyone is encouraged to bring maps (yay!), trip planning ideas and resources, gear questions, pictures, or whatever else you feel inspired to ask or share.

While the foundation of Wilderness Wednesdays is simply a time to gather informally to pour over maps and share stories over drinks, some evenings will also feature a wilderness related presentation or workshop, with topics ranging from surfing, kayaking, backcountry skiing, and mountaineering to backpacking, flyfishing, local botany, and wild foraging. If you have a presentation or workshop you would like to share for one of the weeks (30-45min long presentation, plus some Q & A time) or a topic you would like to hear someone else speak about, contact Erin at erin.b.reading@gmail.com.

Learn how to make outdoor adventures more accessible and provide the kind of information disabled people need. Syren will share about the work of Disabled Hikers and how you can help build a more inclusive outdoor community.
8/28: Decriminalize Nature with Rebecca Ramsey of Port Townsend Psychedelic Society.

Thursdays are the Acoustic Open Mic Jam – Join Jillian as she hosts Open Mic/Jams in the Detour’s state of the art acoustic venue.  Plugged or unplugged, bring your instruments, original songs, renditions of classic ones, or works in progress.  Free, 7-9pm ((NOT THIS WEEK ON 8/15))

Friday 8/16 Music Trivia with Mallory – This is Mallory’s last trivia night!  This week’s theme is MALLORY’S FAVORITE MUSIC so who knows what’s going to be played. Come show off your musical knowledge and say adios to M before she returns to her teaching gig. $2 cash to play, winner takes all. 6-8pm
