It’s time for the weed report!

If you like your bud in jars this is the week for you.  We have full ounces of Cedar Creek’s OG Kush and very limited supplies of half ounces of OG, Jack Herer and Chem Dawg.  Today we got our first order of Sub X where the grams are in precious little jam jars!  So sweet, we’ve got Orange Poison and GMO ready to go in grams, eighths and even their JOINTS are packed in glass vials.

Wilderness Wednesdays at the Detour – Every Wednesday starting in April, 6-9pm
A Collaboration between Disco Bay Outdoor Exchange and Disco Bay Detour

Join Detour bartender, former wilderness ranger and current mountain guide Erin Reading for an evening focused on wilderness/outdoor adventure. The intention is to share collective knowledge with one another, build webs of connection among various outdoor communities, and to have fun delighting in one another’s adventure planning, stories, and questions. Everyone is encouraged to bring maps (yay!), trip planning ideas and resources, gear questions, pictures, or whatever else you feel inspired to ask or share.

While the foundation of Wilderness Wednesdays is simply a time to gather informally to pour over maps and share stories over drinks, some evenings will also feature a wilderness related presentation or workshop, with topics ranging from surfing, kayaking, backcountry skiing, and mountaineering to backpacking, flyfishing, local botany, and wild foraging. If you have a presentation or workshop you would like to share for one of the weeks (30-45min long presentation, plus some Q & A time) or a topic you would like to hear someone else speak about, contact Erin at erin.b.reading@gmail.com.

***Barring rain, we will have a fire going outside – feel free to bring something to grill on the schwenker or a snack/potluck dish to share if so inspired.***

6/19: Lessons from the Boat: Racing in a Long Dory with Chimacum High School teacher Gary Coyan – Join Gary for a lively talk about his experience racing a long dory built by Chimacum HS students. With a team of ten they rowed from Tacoma to Port Townsend in the 70-48 race.

Thursdays are the Acoustic Open Mic Jam – Join Jillian as she hosts Open Mic/Jams in the Detour’s state of the art acoustic venue.  Plugged or unplugged, bring your instruments, original songs, renditions of classic ones, or works in progress.  Free, 7-9pm

Friday 6/14: Gus Clark – Gus Clark & the Least Of His Problems will be coming back to Disco bay this summer! Catch a great night of old-school classic country and honky tonk music and enjoy some tasty beers at Disco bay Detour.  Free, 8-10:30pm

Saturday 6/22: Rock Paper Sun – Rock Paper Sun’s melodic, emotionally driven songs captivate listeners with surprising hooks and harmonies. Michael Howard Monroe, lead singer/songwriter describes their music as “pop/Americana/folk tinged with the aura of twilight and the freshness of dawn.” Vocalists Debra Martin and Kathryn Farrell add a bewitching dimension to these original compositions. Rock Paper Sun’s music sits in the sweet spot between the earthly and the ethereal. Free, 8-10pm
